Beginning November 1 through March 31 we run our river drift steelhead trips on the Kalamazoo and St Joseph Rivers located in Michigan. These two rivers provide excellent steelhead action throughout the winter months. The tranquil setting of snow covered woods and slow river current from the comfort of our heated and enclosed river boat provide memories that last a lifetime.
As we do on the big lake, we follow the best fishing action...so depending on water levels, clarity, and of course the fish we will fish from either river in order to get you on the best possible action.
Our river steelhead drift trips also include FREE lodging for one night at our "hunt camp" located on 20 private acres. The "camp" is a beautifully finished 5 year old 40x40 pole barn with a 12x40 insulated and finished living space done in knotty pine tongue and grove, wood stove, generator power, and sleeping for 4. A gas grill is also available for cooking meals, and plenty of split wood is ready for the woodstove. At this time we do not have running water at the camp, but water is available for cooking/cleaning. Also included in the Steelhead package along with the lodging is the use of 4 ladder tree stands on the acreage for an evening deer hunt after your morning fishing trip. We have harvested several nice 120 class bucks off the property, and there are plenty of does to take as well.
In additon to our river drift steelhead charters, we also offer world class ice fishing charters for walleye on both Saginaw Bay Michigan and Little Bay De Noc Michigan located in the beautiful upper peninsula. Anglers are transported via snowmobile or quad out to their heated shanty located on excellent walleye grounds. Saginaw Bay ice fishing for walleye is known for limits of fine "eater" sized walleyes, while Little Bay De Noc is noted for its trophy class walleye population.
Lodging recommendations and discounts are available in all locations.
